Large scale renewable energy power plants
RES has been an established presence at the forefront of the wind energy industry for over two decades. Our core activity is the development, design, construction, financing and operation of wind farm projects worldwide. With a portfolio of more than 4GW constructed and several thousand megawatts under construction and in development, RES continues to play a leading role in what is now the world’s fastest growing energy sector.
RES is also an independent power producer. We own and operate a growing portfolio of wind farms around the world, currently totalling over 450MW.
RES offers the installation of solar plants utilising either Photovoltaic power (PV) or Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) in the Mediterranean region. We have the know-how, the resources and the project management capabilities needed to develop, construct and operate solar fields for large scale power generation connected to the grid.
RES has been selected by the Port of Blyth as the ‘preferred developer’ of an environmentally-friendly biomass power plant on the site of the former Bates Colliery in Blyth in Northumberland. The 100MW project will generate green electricity for homes and businesses and the biomass fuel will be delivered to the site primarily through the port.

Renewable Energy Systems Limited (our main operating company in relation to wind assets);
RES Enterprises Limited (a relatively new division which is committed to building integrated renewable energy technologies for the industrial, public and commercial sectors); and
Inbuilt Limited (a relatively new division which is committed to providing technical and consulting excellence in sustainable built environments).
These four RES Group companies are the group holding company and the main operating companies respectively of the RES Group, further details of which are set out below.
