Ecotricity - The Worlds First Green Electricity Company

Renewable Energy Company:
Ecotricity

About Company:
Ecotricity is an electricity company with a difference - we're dedicated to changing the way electricity is made. We take the money our customers spend on electricity and invest it in clean forms of power like wind energy. What's more, we're the only green electricity company actually building these new renewable energy sources. In 2007 alone we invested £25 million in wind energy.

We've been building wind turbines and selling electricity across the country since 1996. We supply people like the Body Shop and Co-operative Bank and are proud to be recommended by the Soil Association and Oxfam.

The other thing that not many people realise is that we can now all choose who supplies our electricity, and therefore how it's made, so wherever you live in the country you can actually choose to have your home or business supplied by clean energy. The funny thing is switching takes about five minutes but it's the biggest single step you can take to reduce your emissions and protect the environment.

I hope you'll join us.

What Renewable Energy They Offer:
Green electricity generated from wind turbines and wind parks across the UK.

Comments On Renewable Energy Company:
It's a novel idea, but.....
You can actually fight climate change with your electricity bill.

In fact, if you choose the right supplier, there is no more effective way to do so.

With Ecotricity the money you spend on electricity couldn't be put to better use.

For every £1 you spend with us through your electricity bills we spend another £1 building new sources of green electricity.

In fact we spend more per customer each year than all the other electricity companies in the UK put together - by a long way.

At Ecotricity we take responsibility for where our green electricity comes from. From wind park design and construction through to a lifetime of operation and maintenance - we do it all ourselves.
